The 9th Regional Meeting of the Network of Gender Military Trainers held in September 2024 gathered the MoDs and AFs representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia to share knowledge on gender-segregated data in research and gender-inclusive responses to climate-induced disasters.
Building on the regional baseline study on integrating a gender perspective in military education, SEESAC supported the Network of Gender Military Trainers to complete and promote an online gender equality course for the MoDs and AFs' personnel aiming to increase and standardize the knowledge on the importance of gender equality in defence. At request of the Montenegro MoD, a workshop on gender-responsible leadership was held for the high-level security officials, fostering cross-institutional exchange and best practices on mitigating gender stereotypes and support equal opportunities for women.
To enhance gender-responsive military leadership, SEESAC completed the eighth cycle of the Gender Coach Program for the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, strengthening skills and commitment to advancing gender equality.
